SABIC® high-performance polypropylene offers impressive mechanical properties and low costs
With SABIC®’s new high-performance polypropylene, we bridge the gap between commodity and engineering plastics. These PP compounds, designed to meet the highest standards of quality and performance, offer excellent mechanical properties and low density for reduced weight. Due to their low moisture sensitivity, pre-drying is not necessary, and the low processing temperatures further help to save energy and, consequently, costs. The mineral-filled, glass-fiber-reinforced, and halogen-free flame-retardant SABIC® PP compounds are easy to process. They have very good adhesion to TPEs and are therefore not only ideal for high-stress housing components but also, and above all, for two-component applications such as handles and soft-touch elements. In addition, selected PP compounds are also manufactured from renewable raw materials and, like Plastoplan plastics, are certified according to the ISCC+ standard.
