With VESTAMID® PA12 / PA612 and from Evonik, Plastoplan expands its portfolio with two high-performance polyamides.
These two materials impress with excellent chemical and stress crack resistance, as well as exceptional impact strength, even at low temperatures. VESTAMID® also offers low water absorption and is available as a flexible PA12 elastomer (PEBA). Furthermore, the microcrystalline TROGAMID® excels with lasting transparency – ideal for optical applications.
Both product lines are available as bio-based or with a reduced CO₂ footprint upon request.
With its Care product lines, Evonik offers special polymers such as VESTAMID® Care
and TROGAMID® Care, which were specifically designed for demanding medical devices. The Care series covers a wide range – from flexible to rigid, transparent to translucent types, and meets the high regulatory requirements in medical technology.
