APTIV™ Film Slot Liners: Enhanced Thermal Management, Increased Efficiency, and Reliability in 800V E-Motors

APTIV™ films combine the properties of VICTREX™ PEEK in a thin film format, making them the most powerful and versatile thermoplastic films on the market. When used as insulation for stator slots, APTIV film enables excellent thermal management, high electrical performance, and a higher copper fill factor, thereby increasing e-motor efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

Effective thermal management for maximum continuous torque and optimal efficiency

Optimization of electrical performance for systems with 800 V and above

Reduction of e-motor size and weight for greater design flexibility and cost optimization

High and reliable quality in electric motor production through suitability for robust manufacturing processes

Enable cost-efficiency to secure competitiveness in the dynamic automotive sector

ADVANTAGES OF APTIV SLOT LINERS COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL INSULATION PAPERS

Excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals, including ATFs and dielectric fluids

Extreme temperature resistance and reliable operation from -40 °C to 240 °C

Approximately 2 times higher thermal conductivity than conventional meta-aramid insulation papers

Low moisture absorption coupled with excellent hydrolysis resistance for enhanced dimensional stability

Dielectric properties (high dielectric strength, PDIV, resistance, low permittivity and loss, etc.)

Wide range of product grades with excellent strength, stiffness, and ductility properties for reliable slot liner insertion
