PLASTICS

Our Solutions
for Your Projects

For Plastoplan, plastic distribution means more than simply delivering high-quality plastics from point A to point B on time. We offer comprehensive pre- and post-delivery services for polymers that are rarely found consolidated under one roof. Crucially, we also provide something indispensable today: fast, straightforward solutions. Our local presence enables us to offer immediate on-site support, even directly during your ongoing production.

Project Development:
Planning and Consulting as the Foundation for Robust Products

Every product begins with a plan. Once initial ideas are gathered and requirements specified, it's time to contact us: Our plastics engineers will evaluate with you which materials best suit your project. We not only ensure that every requirement is met but also provide suggestions on how processes and the final product can be further optimized based on material and tooling. We have an exceptionally extensive plastics portfolio at our disposal. Should a requirement be so specific that it cannot be met despite the vast selection of standard materials, we develop and produce custom-tailored compounds.

At Your Service: From Project Development to After-Sales Support

Shaping Markets:
A Benefit in All Directions

Communication often flows in only one direction. With us, raw material manufacturers, processors, and we form a balanced triangle, benefiting all stakeholders.
Our extensive product range ensures that we cover virtually every customer requirement in the field of thermoplastic materials. Our customers benefit from the international plastics expertise of our manufacturers. Simultaneously, manufacturers gain valuable insights into new market trends and identify early on which materials will need to be developed in the future.
Over the past 50 years, this trusted triangular relationship has fostered synergies that enabled growth for all parties.

As a distributor, we establish a collaborative network that not only supports the market but actively drives its development.

Naturally:
We speak your language

Locality is one of our most valuable assets. Each of our customers has their own local contact person. "What good is the best raw material if the operator at the machine doesn't know how to process it optimally?" a wise person once said. Therefore, it is important for us to speak our customers' language. And by that, we mean not only the national language but also the specific requirements of their respective industry segments.

We speak your Industry

A Europe-wide
(Warehouse) Network

As a member of the family-owned Hromatka Group, Plastoplan Kunststoffe is integrated into one of the leading distribution networks in the European plastics market. With over 40 warehouses across Europe. Four of these are located in Austria, conveniently close to you.

All companies within the Hromatka Group maintain a lively exchange of know-how, materials, and technology. They ensure that OEMs, who award their contracts across multiple countries, have unrestricted access to the same material quality, regardless of their production location.

OEMs typically have their production sites distributed across the continent. But wherever you are, we are always nearby, supplying you with identical material quality throughout Europe and North Africa.

Reliability
through Planning

We offer two safety nets that enable manufacturing companies to focus on their core business without having to worry about logistics.

Firstly, we understand our customers' demands and proactively calculate the anticipated material consumption, which we account for in our own warehousing. For framework agreements, material is pre-stored and reserved, ensuring unrestricted availability for retrieval at any time. If a customer additionally utilizes our safety stock, they can mitigate short-term production peaks and manage supplementary deliveries.
The second safety net benefiting our customers is our Europe-wide network, providing access to over 40 proprietary warehouses stocking more than 1000 different materials.

Our proprietary fleet guarantees independence in transport planning and ensures the reliable availability of delivery slots.

Unexpected surges in demand are solely a cause for celebration for you: because we have your material in stock.

Compounds
Tailored to Specification

We offer customized material solutions under the brand "SAX Polymers". In our in-house compounding facility, we process virtually all technical thermoplastics according to customer specifications.

Across a total of 20 production lines, we manufacture polymers based on requirements developed in collaboration with our customers. Our database currently contains over 6000 formulations with a wide range of design and material specifications. Those with recycled content are currently experiencing significant growth. Embracing this essential trend, we process virtually all post-consumer, post-industrial, and even food waste into new, high-quality raw materials.
Our plastic crystallizer and specialized material developments from our laboratories form the foundation for this.

Our Swiss facility specializes in the reprocessing of PET and amorphous plastics. Predominantly semi-crystalline compounds originate from Vienna.

Common to both is the customer-specific mixture – from small quantities to batches of several thousand metric tons per year. The following modifiers are used:

  • Enhancement of environmental properties through recyclates, wood, and oyster shells.

  • Optical customization with colors and effects.

  • Modification with fillers and reinforcing agents, such as glass beads, mineral fillers, glass, and carbon fibers.

  • Emphasizing specific properties through the addition of tribological additives, flow aids, stabilizers, impact modifiers, UV, and flame retardant systems.

If your application requires customized material, you have come to the right place, regardless of the quantity.

Laboratory-Tested Quality
from the Outset

Equipped with over 50 testing instruments, our laboratories in Austria and Switzerland are optimally prepared to continuously evaluate the quality of our products through physical and chemical tests, as well as to analyze emerging phenomena and initiate appropriate measures.
Utilizing comprehensive standardized testing and inspection methods, we conduct material and processing controls, analyze both our own and customer-reported materials, and ensure consistent quality of all raw materials from the outset and across national borders.

Should processors encounter defect patterns, immediate analysis enables a prompt response, preventing production from coming to a halt.

Furthermore, we develop new colors and compounds, which our manufacturing subsidiary SAX Polymers produces for series readiness. Our latest development involves granulates derived from food waste.

Our laboratory chemistry experts assist you with material analysis and the rectification of defect patterns.

Family Business
guided by intellect and trust

The Hromatka Group bears the name of its founder. Operated as a family business for over 50 years, we combine the professionalism and scale of corporations, yet without being driven by shareholder figures. We are guided by intellect, passion, and the objectives of our customers. You can rely on this commitment.

Serving You with Intellect, Passion, and Craftsmanship

Certified
Reliable and Sustainable

As a network of ISO 9001 certified companies, we operate according to standardized processes while remaining flexible and responsive. This ensures our customers can rely not only on consistently receiving the best material but, more importantly, material that precisely meets their exact requirements without having to compromise in any aspect.

The ISCC Plus certification of all our distribution companies demonstrates our forward-thinking, sustainable approach to our environment and guarantees the careful and farsighted handling of people and raw materials.

Trust is good. Certificates are better.
With us, you will find both.
